Birds of Paradise
Past performance and movement research project with dance collective Luna Park
Birds of Paradise is a work that was started during a residency at 'Trauma Bar und Kino' in 2020Â which has since been taken up for funding for development by the 'Initiative Luna Park' in 2021.
The piece is a duo featuring dancers Aaron Carey-Burrows and Gianna DiGirolamo and there will be an in progress showing in December at Ufer Studios

Material creation and method development for class material
In this project I will research movement principles across disciplines and integrate them into my dance practice, conduct movement research to experiment with these principles and develop physical ideas to create a diverse range of exercises designed for class and workshop material. I am interested in taking inspiration from different disciplines to contribute in the creation of functional dance training material which will assist in a dancers physical range and movement complexity.

Over the period of 5 months of physical research and movement creation, I plan to develop enough material to teach a series of classes and workshops. During this process I plan to take extensive notes and record my research and class material. I will also publish some of this material on social media and my website and share the process by regularly recording a movement journal.
